Teleconference Tools Sample

Audiocast: Playback Mode

  • Open access until a scheduled recording session begins
  • Up to 10 streams with free version of Flash Media Server 2
  • Hold down "Talk" at to audiocast
  • Count-down timer indicates next scheduled Teleconference

Audiocast: Record Mode

  • Clips associated with a Session ID, name, and description
  • Clips tagged with member ID, referenced in database, searchable
  • Count-down indicates when current Teleconference ends

Broadcast: Playback Mode

  • Open access until a scheduled recording session begins
  • Supports unlimited number of broadcasters
  • '!' closes the stream, freeing it for others
  • 'x' allows anyone listening to stop current stream

Broadcast: Record Mode

  • Sessions can be scheduled, named, described, tagged, queried
  • Participants can freeze other's video stream or mute their audio
  • Live PHP chat is archived with record session
  • The [kill] link allows host to end recording session early

Multicast: Playback Mode

  • Sessions can be searched and viewed in the "Video Search" tab
  • Metadata about session displayed in the "Information" tab
  • All participants can see clip when played back
  • Name and duration displayed above playback window
  • Anyone can stop clip being played for discussion purposes
  • Archived chatlogs can be reviewed in context
  • Resizeable video windows
  • Freeze video streams or mute audio
  • Adjustable connection speed - Modem, DSL, or LAN
  • Collaboratively browse URLs with "share" command
  • "Live Chat" tab enables discussion of viewings

Multicast: Record Mode

  • Clicking record window initiates recording
  • During record mode other participants are muted
  • Anyone can record anyone else by clicking the target icon
  • "Stop" allows anyone to end the recording
  • All clips given a session ID, name, and description
  • All clips tagged, referenced, and searchable
  • Live chat is archived along with record session
